10/01/2010 Hi looks like a great range, i want the Audi R8 GT3, and the Jaguar XKR GT3 cars, i will be getting the sr cars as well and am looking forward to the Aston martin set although dissapointed that its not a seperate car, also the brawn gp cars, i like the mercedes 722 GT as well but am looking forward to the club car, i hope it handles better than the road version. the kits look interresting but i would liked to have sen the Jagura XKR rather than the aston. so looks like alot of money will be leaving my pocket, oh ant the start LMP cars will be good as well

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your feedback.

The Lotus 49 Gold Leaf is currently sold out from the Scalextric warehouse meaning that all stock is with the retailers. They ahard to find but they are still around if you search hard enough. I saw some for sale at the Scaletric Festival at Donington this weekend.

    29/06/2010 Hi people,
I have just bought the basic lap timer. It says it can count down the number of laps up tp 99 and it will display the fastest lap time. I will be running a competition where I was hoping to record peoples total time for a given number (say 10 laps).
The nag with recoding just the best lap is that many people can get around a 4 second lap so I may end up with lots of joint places.
    Can anyone suggest a solution.
My competition starts on Thursday so a quick response would be apreciated.

    05/07/2010 Hello,

I have an older Scalextric track from mid 70's and 80's.
I would like to use it for my kids and also buy spare parts as well as extra tracks and accessories. I found in the store that the existing tracks of today look different. Is there a conversion kit available or how can I still use my "old" system?

    Kind regards

    Stefan

05/07/2010The older Classic track, as we call it, from the 60-90s can connect to the new 'Sport' track system - now our standard track - with converter half-straights C8222. However, be aware that modern Scalextric cars have a much lower chassis. Warped 'Classic' track may cause the chassis to ground out on the rails! Generally speaking, unless the old Classic track is in perfect flat condition you may not enjoy the best expereince with it and ultimately find yourself transferring over to using modern Sport track.

12/07/2010 Hi guys, Is there an ETA on when C7042 Advanced digital 6 car powerbase will hit the Australian markets again?
    or
I missed out on a 6 car digital base on ebay but it was not the C7042. It looked more like the standard base. I could'nt get a part number for it. Would you know what i'm talking about an are they still available. I have never seen it before.
    Thankyou.

C7042, the new 6-car digital/analogue powerbase, identifiable by an upright stand-alone display screen, is currently scheduled to be in the stores in September 2010.

The previous 6-car digital powerbase, identifiable by an in-built info display screen on the main base, has been out of stock for 3 years or more and is very hard to find now.

Digital Hand Controller Extension Cables are not supplied by us.You will need to source plug, socket and cable from someone like Maplins.

You'll need two core, shielded cable to carry 5 volts and a 2.5mm male & female mono jack plug.
