This month we are giving you the chance to win this fantastic Scalextric 1000 piece Jigsaw Puzzle. 

The world famous Scalextric brand was launched to immediate acclaim in 1957 and has been synonymous with the term ‘slot racing’ ever since.

The combination of scale model cars and real racing action proved an instant winner.

In the manufacture of the cars themselves, tin plate was replaced by moulded plastic and after a few other technical refinements Scalextric was clearly recognisable as the much loved slot racing system that we are all familiar with today.

Initially focusing on scale models of British racing cars of the day, the range quickly expanded to include foreign cars. The cars became more technically sophisticated and detailed throughout the Sixties; incorporating features such as working lights and the ability to perform 360 degree turns.

The Seventies saw the introduction of an even greater range of vehicles while the track was enhanced with features such as jumps and cross overs.
