As producers and distributors of electrical and electronic products we have to provide information to consumers regarding their obligations under this directive.

All of our electrical and electronic products are marked with the crossed out wheelie bin symbol (shown below). This symbol is required under the Directive and is placed on the product to encourage consumers to participate in the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment at the end of its life.

This means that products marked with this symbol should not be disposed of in the normal household waste but should be taken to a designated collection facility for treatment. Hornby has joined a Distributor Take-back scheme that supports the national network of designated collection facilities.
