Buckmore Park Kart Circuit

News from the premier Buckmore Park karting circuit.

The ABkC Honda Cadet '0' Plate is a one day National Championship race and it is open to all Honda Cadet drivers that meet the licence requirements. We had drivers from all over the country including the Scottish Champion and drivers from Ireland.

The drivers were aged between 8 and 13 year.

Each driver takes part in 3 heats and have a fair share of the front, middle and rear grid positions (therefore the top drivers have to start from the back of the grid at some point). This produces excellent racing with plenty of overtaking.

The race was won by Jessica Hawkins but the race was decided on the last lap when the lead kart and second place kart had a coming together, allowing Jessica to seize the opportunity to take the lead.

The event was televised for Sky Sports and they also covered a story on the circuits Bambino School, which is for drivers aged between 6 and 7.
