Ma5da Racing

Good use was made of the Ma5da Racing Launch day at Silverstone when Jonathan Blake, the driving force behind this new series, made an impressive welcoming speech to the drivers. Not only did he explain the easy and value for money way that drivers can buy their parts from the associated suppliers – all mentioned by name – but one of the main series sponsor Scalextric had a great announcement when the gathering of mechanics split apart to show two of the Scalextric sets in all their glory.

The fact that this was more by accident than design did nothing to take away from the dramatic affect. The only members of the media present (Autosport) were there to witness this and were later taken round the track in a suitably logoed MX5.

There was a steady demand from the drivers for the decal package and these are being sent out in the next few weeks along with a photograph of a car showing the correct placements for all.
