Scalextric is a household name and, whilst many people know how much fun Scalextric is, we would like to describe our products to customers new to our fantastic electric model car racing games.
There are two main brands - Micro Scalextric and Scalextric.
Micro-Scalextric

This is seen as the youngsters first introduction to model car racing. The Micro Scalextric track is an easy to use snap-together system. The cars (F1, GT, Rally, etc) and figures (Turtles, The Simpsons, etc) are hard wearing and durable. The Micro Scalextric system is based around 1/64th scale and runs on a basic 12 volt electrical system from the provided wall mounted transformer. Cars are about 75mm in length. An average track layout covers about 1 metre by 1 metre. The system can be expanded to any size.
Micro Scalextric is ideal for youngsters from 3 years and above and may need parental supervision.
Scalextric

Since 1957, when first launched, Scalextric has remained fairly unchanged. It is an electrical model car motor racing system based on 1/32nd scale. Cars are about 130mm in length and track layouts from the standard set range vary from 2 metres by 1 metre to 3metres by 2metres. A track layout can be further expanded to any size using an extensive range of track pieces from our range.![]()
All track pieces from 1957 up to today's track system can be connected together with only two converter pieces required. Old and new can be used together.
Scalextric is suitable for ages 7 years and above through to the most senior adults.
