Scalextric 4 Schools
Scalextric 4 Schools is an exciting curriculum project for schools where students design, build and race their very own Scalextric cars. The comprehensive STEM curriculum has been developed by PTC in partnership with Scalextric and Root Solutions - visit Scalextric 4 Schools for more information.
Students design their car using PTC Creo 3D modelling software available free to schools.
Students integrate their own designs for chassis and body with genuine Scalextric components available at a discount direct from Hornby Hobbies Limited.
Students can test their designs on the official track layout and organise competitions with local schools. PTC and Scalextric offer official competitions in some countries.
There are two Scalextric packs available to support the curriculum; a Component Pack (C8523) of axles, motors, wheels etc. and a Track Pack (C8524) with power supply and hand controllers.
Please note: These two packs not available direct from Scalextric, they can only be purchased via the Scalexrtic4Schools organisation for institutions enrolled in this scheme.
