Scalextric Digital represents a ground breaking step forward in the way Scalextric is played. Now, with the DIGITAL system, up to six cars can race on one lane*. At the press of a button, drivers can switch lanes for overtaking and blocking!
EasyFit Digital Plug
Most cars produced from 2007 onwards will have, as standard, a socket on the car where the EasyFit Digital Plug is connected to convert the car for use on a SCALEXTRIC DIGITAL layout. C8515 EasyFit Digital Plug is suitable for fitting to standard DPR Scalextric cars.
The conversion only requires a small screw-driver and takes less than sixty seconds to perform.
To Convert a DPR car
1. Unscrew the panel on the base of the car and disconnect the braid-to-motor wiring plug.
2. Connect the EasyFit Digital Plug to the braid-to-motor wiring plug.
3. Replace the retaining screw to secure the EasyFit Digital Plug to the chassis.

Each C8515 EasyFit Digital Plug can be transferred easily from one car to another.
There is no need for a soldering iron or modelling expertise.
Note
C8515 EasyFit Digital Plug is suitable for fitting to standard DPR Scalextric cars.
To convert open-wheeled single-seat F1 style DPR Scalextric cars to Digital, use C8516 F1 EasyFit Digital Plug.
Many non-DPR Scalextric cars can be converted to Digital using Digital Chips C7005 and C7006.

- What is Digital Plug Ready & DPR?
DPR refers to an easy-fit chipping system available on modern Scalextric cars.
DPR stands for 'Digital Plug Ready' and means that a car has a access
door on the bottom of the chassis in which a C8515 or C8516 DPR chip
can be fitted.
- Can I use a 'DPR' car on normal a Scalextric circuit?
DPR cars are intended for both standard Scalextric and Scalextric
Digital use. In fact, the DPR car IS A STANDARD car but has the handy
ability to easily be upgraded to Scalextric Digital use by fitting C8515 or C8516 DPR chip. It is intended that ALL cars will have the DPR facility.
- When buying a solo car,.......
with 'DPR' amongst its features, note that this
will mean that the car, from new, is NOT FITTED with a Digital chip. The
chip should be purchased separately and installed in to the car to make
it run on a Scalextric Digital system.
- What is Scalextric Digital?
A Scalextric system having the functionality of being able to race more than one car on a single lane. Up to six cars can be raced together. Each car is under the individual control of the driver. The system also allows the driver to switch lanes. There is no limit to the number of lanes used.
- How do I convert my standard Scalextric set to Digital?
Standard Scalextric sets can be converted to Scalextric Digital by using a Scalextric Digital powerbase. Digital Conversion kits are available.
- How do I convert my standard Scalextric cars to Scalextric Digital?
Standard Scalextric cars can be converted toScalextric Digital by fitting a Scalextric Digital chip to the car.
Scalextric cars without the 'DPR' facility will require a chip to be soldered in to the cars' internal wiring. This isn't user freindly hence the introduction of an easy-fit "plug-n-go" function.
