The 2008 model is the Lewis Hamilton VODAFONE MCLAREN MERCEDES with Lewis's now famous special helmet based upon the racing helmet of Lewis's race idol Ayrton Senna. This special detail is not available on the standard C2837 MCLAREN in the SCALEXTRIC range. The 10% up-rated top speed of the 20k rpm motor together with brass bearings and hardened rear axle put this car a cut above the rest.

The car features:

Detailed driver helmet decoration. Brass bearings. Hardened rear axle.
