Pinchey
When I move house very soon, I intend to build a large layout with lots of scenery and a long track. I want to have the equivalant of at least 4 or 5 sets. If I but 1 complete set, then lots of spare track will there be enough power or will I need to get extra power? If so, how do I do this? Andy P.
You may have to add power taps, i.e. cables running from the Power Base to the farthest points from the power . Get a Sport Power Base (assumgin you are running analog) that allows you to use 2 power adapters (one for each lane) [which you can combine with ARC ONE using ARC ONE as Racing Mgmt ;) 😉] with a swtich 16v/16v.Then you can use any cable that has the right size connector (usually called "booster" cables https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/track-power-booster-cables.html ) and you run them from under the power base to the fatrherst points on your layout. Here's a video abouit it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu31KZKezR4BTW: usually up to 10 meters is no problem, particularly if you are using 2 power packs.Good luck!
