Ayrton
Hello,I have recently buy an Advanced Power Base and I have some issues with lap detection. Indeed, in both mode (Analog and Digital) some times APB didn't detect the car.I verified the minimum time configured on APB and it's Ok. I also verified the cleanliness of the track.Have you some ideas ?Thanks for your help.
Ayrton
One more precision. I flashed the firmware to use 1.09, but unfortunately I have the same behavior.
Andy P.
Are the cars chipped for digital? What color are the guides?
Ayrton
Are the cars chipped for digital? What color are the guides?Actually, I have both (digital car with chip and analog car). But in the both cases, sometime APB detected the lap and sometime no.About the guide, you mean the guide of the car ? If so, the guide are black. Andy P.
When I say guide I mean guide blade which is the same as guide pin (more or less) and some call it guide flag

Blagard
With Digital, your car will be flashing it's ID as it goes around the track. I believe it is photo cells in the track that will read that ID as the car passes over them. So two things. Make sure the Led lens on the car is clean and likewise the photocell in the track. In Analogue mod when you can run a non-digital car, I have no idea how it counts the laps except that the car ID is known already Lane 1 or Lane 2 and it may obstruct the photo cell enough as it passes over for detection to be made without a flashing LED. Also avoid bends immediately before the powerbase. Bends before sensors mean a car can still be difting and so not straight as it passes over a sensor.
