Following on from the success of ARC ONE, ARC AIR is the next step up for App Race Control and Scalextric. Adding a number of new features, including wireless hand controllers, ARC AIR has been on many slot racers’ wishlists for some time.

For a closer look at ARC AIR check out our new ARC AIR page.

The ARC AIR powerbase is expected to arrive in mid-January 2016 but pre-order yours now to avoid disappointment!

We’d also love to hear what you think of ARC AIR so let us know in the thread here. Are you as excited as we are?!

YES!!!!!!!!!!! It says in the Quick Guide there is a Pace Car mode... is that still reserved for ARC PRO or is it also available here?

The 'Pace Car' feature is included with ARC AIR, in fact, you can see that and more in this fantastic review created by FamilyGamerTV

ARC Air looks mighty impressive but as a Scalextric Digital owner I'm holding out for the ARC Pro.

wireless hand throttles have been a long time coming, great to see Scalextric finally add them to their range.

Arc Air Pro apparently allows you to race 6 cars.  Is that 6 cars on two tracks, or 6 cars on 6 tracks ?  Does anyone know ?

Thanks !

ARC PRO is esentially the new digital powerbase so like all digital track, up to 6 cars on 2 lanes.

Well that made me smile when you used the present tense. But it has been in the works for a few years so perhaps it will be the new digital power base, one day. First announced in 2013 I think!

I simply paraphrased Adrian Norman from another forum...

Slightly off topic...but

From the side view of the controllers, it seems there is only one button (brake), yet the same throttles are marketed in the 2016 range as for the AIR and the PRO. Which leads me the obvious question... where is the lane change button got PRO?

(a) There is only automatic braking for ARC PRO users using the new throttles

(b) There will be a PRO version of the throttle with 2 or more buttons (I'd love to see a button for lights!) (though the web site indicates this is not the case)

(c) There is another way to interact with the single button (double tap? Eugh!)
