C770 Road Race Set, what tyres for cars

I need HELP.......

I still have the original cars from the 1992-1994 C770 Road Race Set.

Ferrari F40 (red)

Lamborghini Diablo (black)

Struggling to work out which tyres to order as the old ones are bald and perished.

My daughters new cars are putting them to shame!!

Since you spell tires wrong, you must be in the old world.

Go to ebay and search for car like the one you own.

Tires will pop up usually with the toy's listings.

Have seen a German guy who makes a lot of sizes for front and rear.

Also check out tire charts at dealers like pendle, who usually list a couple tire brands and toys they fit on.

Other dealers make tires stateside but do not know if you can buy them.

Usually you will find rear only because fronts do not matter because slots run on guide and rears.

Once owned a scaly furry 40 so know they make replacement tires for it.

But your daughters may be faster cause girls are usually better racers.

Tyre is as acceptable as tire and I don't think it is funny at all.

@Boomtown: older models spares can be found at places such as scalextric car co.uk or pendles. Send them a mail and they can sort you out.

The German gorp is referring to is Michaal Ortmann. If you google ortmann reifenliste (reifenliste=tire list) you will find a PDF that lists tires. If you find it on the list you can then google the tire type and find a dealer near you. The minimum order from Michael directly is 25 € I think plus shippind. His tires are good, some say the best, but they do need sanding and truing.

Pendles may have the tyres you want as they were used on a lot of Scalextric cars, Renault Laguna, Audi A4, Ford Mondeo etc. If you email Pendles they can guide you to what you need to order.
