Hornby Hobbies - A Model History

A one off special bookazine, following the recent success of the BBC Four documentary, James May's Big Trouble in Model Britain show. The bookazine includes history of not only our UK brands but our international ones too.

A fascinating read

I really enjoyed reading this magazine and learned a huge amount about the history of the various brands owned by Hornby Hobbies. The section on modern-day manufacturing processes was very interesting, as was the look at international brands like Pocher and Rivarossi. Although there are some great old pictures in the Scalextric chapter, the accompanying text was perhaps not up to the standards of the rest of the publication. Maybe I already knew the Scalextric story rather too well?
