Scalextric ARC ONE Powerbase

Brings some realism to a race with the ARC base and synced to the app. Unfortunately system with not sync with non-Scalextric cars. Also the app has room for improvement with the cars database and track information is based on sets only.

Scalextric Says...

Non-Scalextric cars can be used with the ARC system. Whilst they won't be pre-loaded into the app, it is possible to add them as custom cars. Any analogue car should work with the ARC ONE powerbase as the light sensors will detect almost any guide blade.

Does ARC ONE Powerbase work with a 4 lane track setup?

Posted by Matthew Suplee on 14th Jun 2017

I asked this in the official forum and I tested it at home as well: ARC ONE cannot be used for 4-lane because 2 ARC ONEs interfere with each other. You can however use 2 ARC AIR systems together. The 2 systems are not connected so you have to compare results in the end but in theory it would work. ARC AIR has a LOT more to offer than ARC ONE.

Is it possible to add my own cars (other brands) in the list off cars, so I can select them when creating a race? For fuel usage and tire wear can I add my own track instead of selecting a standard scalextric track?

The app only lets you add Hornby/Scalextric products in its current version (as of January 2017). You can select any track that is a close approximation to whatever track you make up and tire wear and lap times will work fine. You can add your own track but only by taking a photo of it.

As this is an analog system will it function with ALL my old scalextric cars and other analog cars that I hace

It should work with any car that uses a black (!) guide blade. I have successfully tested many many cars. Some cars though cause electrical interference and require a "ferritt" man to be soldered to get it to work.

Does the ARC ONE have a Ghost car facility

Posted by Chris Sothers on 10th Feb 2016

The 'Pace Car' feature is only available on ARC AIR and ARC PRO.

What is the length of this power base? It looks longer than the stock analogue base so I don't know if a matching straight is necessary.

Posted by Todd on 14th Dec 2015

The ARC ONE powerbase straight is 350mm long.
