@grop: No one knows what you mean by "glad"

Thanks...

so sad that even the scaly moderator here does not have enough curiosity to go to Slot Car Illustrated (which has an official scaly site on its manufacturers forum) homepage and at top is articles, scroll down to how to, scroll to glad part 1 and 2 and 3 , which has been listed several times here before

and

now if that is too hard for you to do, just ask riko or flippant about glad over on slotforum

been there on SCI home page since 2010 , was developed before advanced powerbase released (scaly development head did know about it back then and helped like slotit and scorpus did)  and has many pages on development locked in sci vault and has always been free to use.

glad is name of the solution , since the beginning , that allows any scaly digital powerbase to run analog under digital control,  just as gem was name of solution while back here for using pitlanes backwards with arc pro instead of using  the promoted soldered dead spot to solve the digital problem

Glad is a brand of trash and sandwich bag for all I know.. and you are aware of this thing called hyperlinking? You know you link to things you want to tell people about instead of assuming they divine what is going on in the grey matter between your ears ?

The big problem iwth slot cars is that a lot of the vocabulary overlaps with other disciplines and areas such as real-life motor racing and remote controlled cars.

I remember wasting hours using google to fnd stuff because the terms are not unique to clot cars.

And yes, I actually knew what G.L:A.D is but the point is for the amount of effort it took for you to respond you could have linked directly to it...

It has been about 9 months since the last comment on this thread, but is there an update on the original 4 lane digital question?  I too would like to run a full 4-lane ARC Pro Digital layout.  Right now, we are 98% 4 lane, but use the pit lane pieces to expand and then restrict our layout from 4 lanes back to 2 lanes so that ARC Pro can pickup the info from the cars on the Start-finish line for lap timing and counting.

I am open to any and all options if I can continue using the ARC Pro for my race management. I would simply like a full, 4-lane layout.

Thanks.

Chris

Hi Chris,

I don't think ARC PRO will support 4-lane in the near future (not officially anyway) but the breadth of knowledge in the Slot Car Community means you should never say never!

From what I understand (in digital mode)  it is a matter of getting another pair of sensors to talk to the Powerbase and APP which I am sure is technically possible...

PS: In my very first post I noted that 2 ARC PRO powerbases can be used side-by-side but they races will be independent of each other and you would have to compare results.

Not sure if you saw that...
