What makes you think the 'Magic App' does not work on ios ? - it works fine on my iPad

As far as I know (and I stand to be corrected) you can only connect to 1 bluetooth device at a time.

If you have, or buy, an Apple TV device you can send your ipad screen/sound to a TV and then the sound will come from your TV set or any speakers you may have attached to the TV - just an option.

A secondhand Apple TV 3 only costs around £50, less if you are lucky. And an older version even less (but I think version 3 is the better choice at the moment)

Hi Helen,

No problem - while it is personal preference I would suggest you look at a new digital set rather than analouge. The ability to change lanes, overtake, race more than 2 cars at once (meaning more than 2 people can race at the same time if he has any mates lol) all make for more fun.

While analogue has a new lease of life with the 'ARC' options, digital is the way to go.

You can of course always upgrade analogue sets in the future with a digital power base and add digital plugs in the cars (if DPR cars - DigitalPlugReady).

Food for thought - whatever you decide have a great Christmas.

@woodcote

Although buying second-hand might become a factor in some future add-ons, I think the Christmas starter set really ought to be new ;-)

Possibly, but then you do pay more money for less :)

Hi Helen,

Had you considered a secondhand set ?

I have a great Digital Formula 1 set with 4 cars & controllers for sale. He can get his mates round for a racing session :)

Its on Gumtree under Norwich - would be happy to send to you for £15 carriage.

Just out of interest what is the process for showing pictures.

Even though pictures usually help I avoid posting them as they take a while to appear.

The good folks on here have normally answered any query before the pictures appear.

I should say I understand the need to vet images.

@Andy P.

Very odd. I assume they have Sport connectors?

SCX in Spain made a few classic-style connector pieces but in all my research I have never seen any single lanes longer than a half-straight.

Can you pots pictures?

Are there markings on the bottom?

I have uploaded 3 pics - front & back (2 x C7016 alongside as a comparison) & close up of markings 'B' / Sport
