We can always add more magnets. We can even get stronger magnets for the same slot. However, I wouldn't recomend it. We do all need to go down that path and try it but cars stuck to the track are no fun, no power slides. I'd add borders before magnets. Full throttle all they way round, no need to slow down, it ruins the dexterity of the game. Cars with well maintained tyres will corner extremely fast. If your cars aint sticking well, check the tyres, true them.

Cars with greater magnetraction are slower. You won't get as fast acceleration on the straights.

Don't forget to have a good look at the tyres. Make sure they're nice and flat, the full width of the tyre touching the track. Gets some borders and barriers too, this will add a lot more fun to the racing.

@Dr_C

Another thought to keep in mind... the ARC PRO counts laps as the car crosses the finish line... but will not count any further laps for that car until after it has crossed the sensor at the exit end of the power base track piece. So you can confuse the system if hand pushing cars across the finish line multiple times...

Yeah... That's exactly the mistake i made.

Invest in the latest Arc PRO. Go Digital with Wireless controllers. Nothing comes close.

This might cost you a bit as you'll need the chips for the cars, some lane changers and some extra controllers. You don't need to chip every car, just buy a few, enough for each racer (4-6), you can easily swap them between your collection. This is known as DPR (Digital Plug Ready).

It might even be better to buy an old digital set, just for the chips, cars and lane changer. They will work with your new ARC PRO!

With what money you have left absorb a load of track from ebay. Plenty of almost new going cheap.

Why would you want to upgrade the motor? These things are too fast as is.

I have that sheet, it's currently on ebay. It unfolds in to 1 large poster.

Andy... You'd like my current set up. My previous track was very similar to the top one but the cars are always only turning the same direction. It's quite essential to add the twist.

This sounds like the disk with the brushes on them isn't on the guide blade. I've never seen metal strip pick ups. The only thing i can think of is what a scalextric car pick up looks like with the quick change brush disk removed.

Put a low cut filter (or high pass) on the audio. It help reduce the plossives on the mic. Not so much an issue for phone viewers but those who use a PC hooked up to an actual system or Headphones, not so good. It's not that bad in the video but the issue is there. Some mics aren't as bad as others.
